Operation stop Keke in Owerri begins September 30th

Imo state government has vowed to commence what he called operation stop keke within the major stress of Owerri the state capital with effect from September 30, 2017 in line with its Urban Renewal policy.

The governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha while addressing a cross section of the dislodged traders at the Ekeukwu Owerri market and artisans at Nekede mechanic village disclosed that the keke Operators will only be operating in some areas around the State Capital, adding that only taxis will be allowed to operate in the Capital City.

The governor had after conducting balloting at the Hero's square where beneficiaries emerged shared not more than three hundred passat wagon cars to the keke operators to enable them comply with the directive.
