IMSU: Library and Information Science Students visit Oguta wonder Lake on Excursion



Excursions are part of education, it is not just a pleasure trip as observed by Mr. Elijah; It is an extension of the lecture hall.
Oguta Lake is the largest Natural Lake in Imo State, over the weekend, Saturday 17th June, Students from the department of Library and Information Science in the faculty of Education, Imo state university Owerri went on an excursion to Oguta Wonder Lake located few kilometers away from the main Campus.

NALISS WEEK, 19TH - 23RD JUNE 2017
The students under the aegis of National Association of Library and Information Science Students (NALISS) visited Oguta Golf center and Oguta Wonder Lake respectively.

MASSIVE TURNOUT
The students were accompanied by elitism6.com led by Mr. Elijah Madubuihe, artists, comedians and dancers including the likes of Lambasix, Mc Jeby, Mr Leo, Cflex, Kiss, Smack Mobile and host of other finest entertainers Eastern Nigeria.

After entering the Oguta Golf center, a different Geographical location from Oguta Wonder Lake, music was played and comedy came from Mc Jebi for the students to dance and feel entertained, best dancers were chosen and given prizes. After that, Drinks and Refreshment was shared.

Leading the Students, the Departmental President Mr. Cosmos Nnaji (ELDER) admonished the students to ensure that they gain lot of things from their visit to the centre.

Reacting Also the departmental director of socials popularly known across the campus as DOZY said the department decided to bring the students on excursion to the Lake because it had lots of facilities that would aid them in their learning as Information Scientist.

This excursion is part of the Numerous Projects embarked upon by NALISS executives since elected into office, the executives have improved the performance and outlook of the department at large, Mr. Cosmos the President said.
The students drove back home but the return journey was filled with a bit of sadness when the boarded shuttle had flat tire just in the middle of the jungle. 
Some of the participants described the trip as educative, saying they would be willing to subscribe again in subsequent programmes of the department.
